I just came across this really nice tribute to aviation in Southeast Alaska. It was produced for the Ketchikan Visitors Bureau as part of the Ketchikan Story Project, presumably to attract tourists to the “Salmon Capital of the World.” But if you dream of flying seaplanes it’ll tug at your soul too, I promise.
“Ketchikan: The Bush Pilots” is a well-told story of a passionate love affair between some adventurous people and one of the most wild, beautiful places on earth.
With exquisite cinematography, a booming musical score, and some great editing, the film captures the spirit of seaplane flying in Southeast. Set aside half an hour, crank up your speakers, and watch it in full-screen HD.
Mike,
So glad gou enjoyed our film! Thank you for the kind words and know this film was made with a lot of folks passionate about the stories of our beloved Aviation community.
Thanks for sharing this.
Richard
Great film! Thank you.
Loved the video, I would so love to do that. Seeing those airplanes and hearing the pilot accounts inspires me to keep working toward that goal! Thanks and keep up the good work!
