After attending ground school in Anchorage a few weeks ago, Aidan headed up to Fairbanks for a few days to do some research.

In this video you’ll hear about the interesting role Fairbanks played in the early history of Alaskan aviation. You’ll also hear about what we have planned for you over the next month or so.

Shortly after Aidan shot this video he headed back down to Anchorage … where he got a call regarding ferrying a Caravan from Oregon to Maui. He made a few calls, decided he could fit the ferry flight in before he had to be in Bethel for training, and off he went. Nothing like a quick transoceanic hop to Hawaii to get you ready for winter in bush Alaska! I suspect you’ll hear about the ferry flight in a future post. Ah, the life of an oddball pilot …

As always, feel free to email us about any interesting flying jobs you know about (or want to know about), and we’ll put them on our list of stuff to research for you!
